Fu*k this, can't get it. Downloaded the manual and it tells me fook all. Why are these things always so bloody difficult? I spent 20 minutes today trying to strap a kid into a car child seat and then another 10 folding the buggy up to chuck in the boot.

I'm just going to keep fiddling with it lads (the remote, not the kid). Cheers for your help <ok>

Swords, are you viewing through a sky tv box? It may well be this as Iv had the same issue. A friend of mine looked at the tv and then went into the sky settings as you can change the aspect ratio on there too.

I recommend having a gander, same with Virgin also!
 
Or why not try watching it looking through a pair of binoculars the wrong way round? I hope this helps. <ok>
 
Regardless of whether I'll ever be able to see the top of Gary Lineker's head again, this thread has been a success considering COL has now fully rejoined the fold after having a bit of a walkabout (tantrum).

Every cloud... <whistle>
 
Have you considered eye surgery? Of course you'll have to give up driving, and it will ruin your golf game, but it will be worth it.

Swords, that sounds more like your nephew/niece as opposed to son/daughter?

I raised five daughters, so I gradually got quite experienced at this sort of stuff.

The oldest (now 21) was 6 mths old when we brought her to the UK to visit my parents in 1993, which I'm glad of as my Dad passed away 4 mths later and I have some nice photos of them together. Now that trip demanded a significant amount of baby paraphernalia - the Graco playpen that folded up quite small made an excellent crib/isolation unit! Was a bit stressed about the transatlantic flight, but that part went surprisingly well.
 
Simple solution. You'll need a shed or workshop and suitable tools and electronic components. Go into shed or workshop. Invent time travel. Travel back in time to 10 minutes before the kid that messed up the TV arrived. Either hide the remote or remove the batteries and store them in a safe place. Wait until kid goes home. Retrieve remote and/or batteries and use TV as per normal. Job done.

After 3 kids in 1996 we bought a 7 seater Dodge Grand Caravan, so plenty of room for family growth and all the required luggage on vacation trips (girls are terrible for that).

I had all 5 kids in the Toyota Corolla 4WD Wagon a few times, but only for short trips in town, with two sharing the lap belt in the rear seat, so not strictly legal.
