If God didn't intend us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat?

And if he had wanted us to live on lentils he would have given them legs and made them say moo.

I can understand that the death of a great racehorse might be perceived as 'tragic' within the context of the sport of racing, but otherwise people are very sensitive when it comes to things that are cute and furry (not including myself).

Vegetarians and vegans really are a disease.

Is it ok to start a new thread about god not actually existing or would it get merged with this one?

There's a reasonable chance it would breach the no religion rule. :emoticon-0112-wonde

To get the same beneficial nutrients as are in a 6 oz steak you'd need to eat around 15,000 flies or 90,000 ants.
I can imagine the missus saying to me "Just off down to the local rubbish tip to catch dinner luv. I'll be back in about a week".

    it's true

a portion of crickets has all the nutrition a human needs without the fat that a steak gives

and it's more enviromentally friendly than typical meat, cattle needs so much more food to live, compared to 100grams of crickets which provides all a human needs health wise

    we should be eating insects

insects take days to be ready and are a massively more populated

but instead humans only want taste

steak and red meat is one of the leading factors in heart problems in humans, a diet in fish or vegan has a way way less chance of heart problems

eat insects, it sounds yucky but they have more protein and nutrients than a peice of steak have by far
    **** humans

Owzat...I'm bowled over by your superior knowledge.
However, I think I'll stick to bird's nest soup, expensive though it may be :emoticon-0100-smile
