Seems to be a lot of confusion over the cut to beer duty which was a real terms cut of 4p as it was set to rise by 3p. That is very little to us, the consumer, but a lot to any pub! If we assume a pub sells 1000 pints on an average day, the saving becomes £40 a day, which turns into £14, 500 odd each year. Considering the rate at which pubs are closing and how they are struggling, this may help and makes sense!
