exactly - I watch breakfast telly before I go to work and week after week they are on about childhood obesity/health etc. I think the computer/video game age has screwed the kids up in this country - its a crying shame

This and lazy parents. Kids in their room, they know where they are. Lack of involvement I suppose.

As a young father myself, i think the parents have alot to do with this mate.. At the end of the day they decide on how long their kids play xbox etc etc... They decide on getting their kids invoved in Sports week in week out... I had Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive, Playstation, Xbox growing up but my biggest influence was sports!!! Football, Rugby Leaugue, Rugby Union, AFL, Squash Indoor cricket the list goes on..... I think half the parents out their are fat lazy slobs themselves hence the kids taking after them..

Was never great at football. Never lacking in enthusiasm but a bit lacking in the skill department. I usually got picked just before the fat kid. Cricket was different though. First on the team sheet.

Usherettes. Cinematic icons with their little torches and hideously overpriced confectionary.

I was the fat kid! But got picked quite early because of the skills  I'm a centre circle kind of guy.

Entered a competition today to play Sunderland legends, can't find the link though

Playing out of position mate. Should have been in goal. Fat kids always played in goal. Unwritten rule that was.

Unless Bruce picked the team. <devil>

Kids playing on building sites, I used to love playing on half built houses, helping out the builders, going to the chippy for them and getting free scratchings from the chippy.
Kids climbing trees, I was our village's champion tree climber. Playing British bulldog, kerbie, hide and seek, the grand national(jumping over neighbouring hedges which got progressively higher).
Kids have no idea what fun is nowadays.

Illegal may have been too strong a word but it is a health and safety problem, you can still sell them in newspaper but they have to have greaseproof paper between the food/newspaper.

I was good though, I'd be wasted in goal. Wasted being fat too but what can I do? Stop smoking and get fit? <laugh>
