He was born at 5 Scotch Springs, Maltby in 1931 weighing an astonishing 14lbs 1oz, one of England's most legendary cricketers, who was he?...

Let's stick with cricket. What was the nickname of the bowler who came into the England team for the Boxing Day Ashes Test at the MCG in 1986? England won the match and the series.

Roller's Gladys threw me off this one, so I'll say 'No neck' - Gladstone Small...

I'm pretty sure I've got the right player, no idea about his nickname though. Gladys was my guess based on the imagination of sportsman! (Stewy, Smithy etc..) I think that he and Botham evenly shared all the wickets in one of their innings, and I'd guess that Broad got a century for England.

Gladstone Small was right, his nickname was 'Seagull' - for the no neck qualities of the bird and player (observe the bird as it walks) Roller got the name, Sooper the reason, a draw, first on to set the next question....

Well, you learn something every day, I had never heard that before, thanks Stan.

How many individuals are mentioned in the titles of novels by Dickens, either by name or referred to more directly?

Not a great fan of Dickens, but here goes
- Martin Chuzzlewhit
- Nicholas Nickleby
- Oliver Twist
- Dombey (and sons)
- Pickwick (papers)
- Little Dorritt
- er, thats it, I refuse to look any up. The only book of his I have actually read is Great Expectations, when I was in a place where no other books were available for a week, Slept a lot too.
