No, and I am beginning to think the PSG bit is wrong. But there is an interesting link between Morton and QPR. Well, perhaps not interesting…..

They've both got a cat mascot!

I watch them both - nowt interesting in that though! Looks grim out there on the pitch tonight.

Apparently in the original Subuteo the Morton and QPR teams were identical, just the name on the packet was different.

But when I think of it this is probably true of hundreds of clubs. Real Madrid and Leeds, Man City and Lazio, Toon and Juventus, Chelsea and Dogshit….

.

Christmas 1977 I got the World Cup 78 edition of Subbuteo - it came with stands, floodlights, crowd and the Argentina team. I had no idea who Argentina were at the time, but a few of my mates had the Liverpool teams so would come round to compete. Fed up of having a team that I knew nothing about, I dragged my mum all round the toy shops of Acton and Ealing looking for the QPR team - could we hell find one (where was internet shopping when you needed it?). So, armed with my Airfix paints, I bastardised my Argentina team and created my own QPR one. One happy 8 year old!

Didn't we have a relative of the bloke who created Subbuteo on here a few years back? Turned out he was a complete arsehole before he got barred...

Wasn't it West London Willy? I think he was the son of the inventor. Stan got on well with him as I recall.

Can’t remember his name but it wasn’t Willy. Very sad man.

I think he had the handle ' Aqua Lung ' or something similar. His real name was Mark Adolph.

I remember him now...was he the one that threatened to glass another poster, or was that a different arsehole?
