Yep, wrong again ;-)Curiously both are in it, but not a boxing movie. Were you thinking of Raging Bull?
Well, I've just looked up all the De Niro Pesci movies, so enhanced guess, but I'll go Once Upon a Time in America
That is the one, a magnificent film.
Staying with the same director, and for me an even better film, why did Charles Bronson have a grievance against Henry Fonda in 'Once upon a Time in the West'?
Because he attempted to have him killed?
I know this SB he hung his father or made him dangle or support his dad or brother on his shoulders or something like that
Did i win?
Tommy Simpson...
But no idea on the number of times...many ...most???
Did you like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at Glasto.......Oddball?
Nice one: John is looking a big buttery is he not?
Mont Ventoux how many times has it featured in the Tour and name the British Cyclist who died there in 67
15 times since 1951 is the best that Wiki can provide.
Tommy Simpson has already been mentioned, but wiki says this.....
The mountain achieved worldwide notoriety when it claimed the life of British cyclist Tom Simpson, who died here on July 13, 1967 from heat exhaustion caused by a combination of factors including dehydration (caused by lack of fluid intake and diarrhea), amphetamines, and alcohol, although there is still speculation as to the exact cause of his death. He began to wildly weave across the road before he fell down. He was delirious and asked spectators to put him back on the bike, which he rode to within a half mile of the summit before collapsing dead, still clipped into his pedals. Amphetamines were found in his jersey and bloodstream. There is a memorial to Simpson near the summit which has become a shrine to fans of cycling, who often leave small tokens of remembrance there.
While Dave checks his sun calculator let me slip another question in.....
Which British Prime Minister was reputedly one sixteenth Iroquois, who, as I'm sure you all recall, are a league of several nations and tribes of indigenous people of North America?
So we are looking for Prime Ministers with American ancestry. I think there are a few, but I'll go for Churchill, whose mum was American I think.
