Dave Pegg? Ralph McTell? Richard Thompson? Kirsty McColls dad?Which folk musician allegedly tried to sabotage Bob Dylan's 'electric' set at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965?
(Probably do us all a favour if he did it now!!)
There was a lot of controversy about the introduction of electrified elements to traditional folk - it was suggested that Pete Seeger was responsible for trying to cut his amplification.Which folk musician allegedly tried to sabotage Bob Dylan's 'electric' set at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965?

What was Pete Seeger doing in Wales, must have felt really strongly about this. That's the one Cologne - allegedly he chopped the cable with a hatchet, but later said that he only threatened to cut it - although there are stories that he had to be restrained from doing so!

Just to simplify this - if you leave Felixstowe in a smallish ship where is the highest point above sea level you can possibly reach on your journey ? Presuming you don't meet Woglinde, Wellgunde and Flasshilde on the way !Cheers Steels. A nautical question: Where is the highest point above sea level which is reachable from the sea by a commercial sea bound vessel ?
Somewhere high up the Amazon? Or somewhere in the Great Lakes via the St Lawrence Seaway?Just to simplify this - if you leave Felixstowe in a smallish ship where is the highest point above sea level you can possibly reach on your journey ? Nope, sorry Stan - a bit closer to home.Somewhere high up the Amazon? Or somewhere in the Great Lakes via the St Lawrence Seaway?
The Great Lakes are 182 metres above sea level. The area I am referring to is much higher and is regularly travelled by commercial traffic, including small container ships.Somewhere high up the Amazon? Or somewhere in the Great Lakes via the St Lawrence Seaway?

Ok now got your Rhine maidens hint, so it will be the Swiss German border on the Rhine, I think that’s as far as you can go upstream in a big boat.
