Which of the 92 league clubs boasts the record home attendance? (we sit 42nd in the list, 41,000 for a cup game v Leeds at White City).
When I was a kid I used to trawl through all sorts of football record books, some of it stuck, like this one... Who are the only one of the 92 league clubs who have played more than 20 home matches in a season and finished with a perfect 100% record?...
Well, it ain't us, so that leaves 91 clubs to guess from! Will take a stab at Morecambe back in there NPL days.
In 1929-30 Brentford won all 21 home games in Division Three South but still missed out on promotion in the days of two points for a win. Over to you Kilburn..
Very close, but with Swords' added input, Sooperhoop was spot on - Swords Castle, Swords, Fingal County, Republic of Ireland - not far from Dublin airport, so Swords has no excuse not to jump on the plane with the Irish R's and catch a game at Loftus Road? Yes it was all in the name, so finally......... please log in to view this image Swords (from Irish: Sord Cholmcille) is the county town of Fingal in Ireland. It is about 13 km north of Dublin city centre and is part of its commuter belt. The name "Swords" may also be applied to the townland, the civil parish or to the local electoral area. At the 2011 census the total urban population of greater Swords was 42,738. Fingal County Council's Strategic Vision for Swords is to create a sustainable new city. They have referred to Swords as an "emerging city" and project that the population of Swords will rise towards 100,000 by the year 2035. In 2012, Swords was named the third best town in Ireland to live in. The survey conducted by Retail Excellence Ireland took into account safety, retail, dining, entertainment, events, car parking and overall attractiveness of the town. Since the mid-1990s Swords has seen improvements in shop fronts, public buildings and footpaths and the restoration of Swords Castle. In 2003 the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) Survey scored Swords the worst litter blackspot in the country. Following a huge improvement to litter in the town, in their 2011 survey Swords was declared the second cleanest town in Ireland.
They filmed some of The Tudors in that Castle, Kilburn. Pity I missed it considering that show seemed to almost entirely consist of Henry VIII banging good-looking young broads. Why do I always miss out on the good stuff, eh?
It measures one inch by one and a quarter inches, is magenta in colour and is the only one of it's type in existence and is conservatively valued at £12 million. What country does it come from and what is it?...
British Guiana / 1856 1-cent Magenta stamp Wish I had a few of those in my schoolboy stamp collection, that I still have somewhere tucked away. please log in to view this image 'Mona Lisa of the stamp world' that cost just one cent when it was new in 1856 set to sell for £12m. First belonged to a Scottish boy, Vernon Vaughan, who spotted it in 1873. Each time the now-expensive stamp changed hands, it increased in value It is being sold by the estate of John E Du Pon, who died in prison in 2010 The unremarkable-looking 1856 British Guiana 1-cent Magenta is set to sell for an amazing £12million at auction. EVEN THE QUEEN HASN'T GOT ONE There is only one 1856 British Guiana 1-cent Magenta known to be in existence. It is the only major stamp absent from the British Royal Familyâs private Royal Philatelic Collection, created by Edward VII and now worth £100million. It was one of three similar stamps printed on the orders of the British Guiana postmaster after a shipment of his stamps from London was delayed. It was first auctioned in 1922 when it sold for a then record £21,000. One of the bidders was King George V but he was beaten by the New York textile magnate Arthur Hind. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...cost-just-one-cent-new-1856-set-sell-12m.html
