Sorry, I got curious! It's Roy Orbison.

Who was Hiro Onoda, and what was special about him?

In the late 1500s there was a significant building which stood on a site now occupied by the 'Horse & Groom' pub, Shoreditch. What was this building? And for a bonus point what was its claim to fame?...

A priory which was used as the first playhouse in England - some of Shakespeare's plays were first performed there. Some of the timbers from there were used when the globe theatre was built.

Well done Hornet, not an easy one. It was the original site of the Curtain Theatre which Shakespeare used to perform in himself. The first performances of 'Henry V' and 'Romeo & Juliet' were at this theatre and Shakespeare appeared in minor roles in both.

The pub that is on that site has a brilliant mural on one of it's projecting side walls depicting Romeo & Juliet emerging from a book and details of the theatre's proud history...
