Don't mind the verve and have this album. Coldplay basically copied the urban hymes album, Chris Martin has often cited them as a huge influence. My main reason for not liking coldplay is the massive overhype radio 1 gave them and it was endless, the rammed it down our throats and had their music on heavy rotation on its play list. Will anyone remember their music in twenty years time like for example U2, Led zepling, the kinks just to name a couple? Well I don't think so as they are nowhere near on par with any of those trully great bands that wrote music we all know and love! This is what's wrong with the music industry, Coldplay were a very well and cleverly marketed product. I makes me sad when we used to have the Beatles, Led zepp, and cold play getting all this false accolades, is this really the best the UK can do now. No we can do better, the next Beatles is all ready out their, it's just the fat greedy men in suits running the recording industry won't sign them. They only want an instant hit more of the same please sh!t to spoon feed to the brain washed public! It really hacks me off but that's sadley the way capitalism and commercialization of almost everything has shaped modern life! Please don't mention that band again, look at the affect it has on me. I'm not sure what thread I'm posting on now
