I just can't keep up with all this new and very fresh sounding breaks being created and released this last few months. For me it's like DnB went away for a long holiday somewhere nice, it's back at last feeling refreshed ans much better than ever!
Two great tracks from Fallen Angels mate, I had the first on wax, never had the second but it's a tune I know well. A mate of mine had it and I used to spin it a lot. TUNEAGE!!
Big up to UTR's for the Nebula uploads, definitely added to my must check out list of producers. I'll also be ripping the majority of those tracks. Cheers mate, that's some really dope production there. New Old Skool...loving it big time.
Had some more spare time to get through listening to your last selection, badness, that's all I've got to say. Thanks for posting these tunes man, nearly a full CD's worth for the car. Dark Horse is fantastic, as is Nebula as a producer. Talking of cars, been playing newer stuff mostly in mine but started playing some classics at volume and guess what...killed some speakers. The basslines of old skool DnB are just speaker killers man.
For sure I had the walkman on the left with Auto Reverse written on it. Probably at least one of the others too! I also had an Akai one which was the tits. A lot of albums, especially hip hop, were short of tracks in the nineties. Used to piss me off too.
I love the images this uploader uses on his posts (all the above tracks were posted by the same person) A nice jazzy (which I always love) plus vocals tune but not so drippy liquid that I don't like it
Have to post this again in case Tom hasn't heard it. This one surprised me from Electrosoul System, he normally produces straight up liquid but this one is a banger!
Yes, I had never heard of Nebula until about a month or so back and and please post again soon! I don't look back on this thread. Again I listen to everyone's post and most get ripped into the collection if not already got it. A rolling playlist with the classics and faves getting a regular dusting down. I love my music of all styles of many eras but will say this, this new wave of DnB has blown me away and it's global this time. I have mainly just been playing the tunes we all post on this thread it's so good. The name of this thread should really be "Drum and Bass Mart. The beeline and Breaks store with plenty more" (Kiwi, I would never dream of renaming this thread mate) Oh and some more...
Or how about rather than the 99p store we could call it Kiwi's FA store, as that's how much you pay for it, f*ck all In fact that's wrong, we are supporting the artists as they get a royalties percentage for every time a song or track of theirs gets played on youtube. Liking this dark offering about death, been whistling this one all week at work!
Do you remember the walkman soundsacs you could buy in Tandies electrical. Two really tinny speakers with a storage space for about four c90 tapes and your walkman. No one I say about it too can remember them. Also no images online, in fact did they even existe?
One of SD's faves... Oh Tom, I have a feeling you are going to beat my other team "The Tykes of the south" QPR!
Oh my god that is garbage <shakesfistfuriouslyatUTRs> I don't normally play the music snob role but just like you with Coldplay, I can't stand Pendulum Have this ya bastard
