Am I too late to join the party? Many a night spent in some dodgy club dancing to night away! However, best rave I went to was in a huge sports arena in San Diego (can't remember if it was American Football or possibly basketball). I was touring California, and ended up going with a local and a nutter from Holland I'd met on my travels - within 5 minutes of being in the venue, the Dutch guy walked up to this dodgy looking bloke and demanded that he sell us some Es....the dealer tried to deny what he was up to, and the Dutch fella replied "I am from Holland, I know all dealers, you sell me Ecstacy now!!" - needless to say, the rest of the night was a pure buzz, some good hardcore house and manic dancing, followed by a mellow comedown around a campfire - unforgettable! Anyway, back to the music - saw these guys in the dance tent at T in the Park few years back, and they give The Prodigy a good run for their money for loudness and thrashing guitars....
Nice one Steels I started this thread as I love breakbeat plus some house and garage music. I am a bit of a geek in this area and didn't want to post that much on the QPR forum music thread as it's not everyones cup of tea. This is a very self indulgent thread just for all edm and rap/hip hop music Funny you should mention about your big rave up in San Diego, my main partner in crime on this thread is my good mate San Diego who is the Ipswich forum moderator. He has settled down in SD now and we are both huge DnB heads Kiwi also posts many a cool track
DnB/garage/grime not really my bag, but I like some good dance, trance, a bit of acid house and some hardcore stuff like Prodigy....I'll dig out some of my obscure stuff for you, got loads of old Ministry CDs, and a whole lot more! Me n Mrs Monkey used to go to The Arches in Glasgow when we first met, where all the big name DJs used to go, and always spent time in the dance tent at various festivals over the years! This guy was amazing....
