Dont know mate. If we can get them out today then we have 2 days to make the target 4/500. If we get a good start and dont lose wickets early, then its do-able. We have the players that "can" do it...its whether they "will" do it that matters. Still 47 overs left today. Plenty of time to get them out. As for 20/20. I really like it. Dont like the glamour **** but just like watching players play exciting shots that you rarely see in test matches. just my taste...
I just had a quick look on oddschecker and the odds on England winning this game range from 14 to 30 to one. An Aussie win is 1/7. It might be worth your while sticking a few Dollars on England Queens.
Cheers fing--got a spare $10 in my betting account for occaisions such as this....gonna have a look now
To be truthful, not really game to stick my neck out and call it ................... things can swing so easily. As far as talking to one's self ............... I'm a regular on the 'talking to one's self' circuit. Very pleased with the answer too! Yes mate, you are correct about how anything can still happen, hence I won't comment yet on a possible result. I'll wait till they are giving out the MOM award
You really should get over this anti-Clarke thing Aussie. He's the best batsman out of either team and a far better captain than Cook. Still think he should have chosen to bowl first?
Mate, don't think I'll change my mind soon. Yes, he is a good batsman but I've never questioned that ........... more so his delivery of what he does and how he goes about it. I'm happy to eat humble pie but this not about whether we win or lose, just about perception. Give me an Ian Chappell or Alan Border anyday .................. now they were leaders and decision makers. Regarding the toss, I still would have bowled first but who am I question it? I played junior grade and seniors grade whilst still a junior but failed to take anything seriously enough, let alone myself so my opinion is worth squat, ha!
Couldn't believe Cook giving Warner singles so that Broad could bowl to Clarke - England were already 250 behind!
Saw the first two wickets go down & then rain came & i thought get them out for couple hundred then game on but when i woke up & saw the scores! thats it we're going one down unless rain comes to our rescue, another poor day for england & aussies showing thats its not going to be a walk over as some predicted.
England well and truly humbled there. As abject a display as we've seen for a long time. Some of the batsmen were beaten before they'd faced a ball, it'll take some effort to turn things round at Adelaide...
I pleased we've finally won a game and won it well. Now this series should be exciting for all to watch. Also very pleased the rain did not decide the result. Well done Aussies, Johnson in particular.
Yep well done to the Covicts...(joking) Wanrner was seriously underated & Clarke got it spot on. Have to say though, I hate Mitchell johnson with a passion. T**ser of a man ! Lets hope England can step it up next test !!
Capitulated, no other word for it. If I was to right a school report for the England team the footnote would read "must do better" Fair play to the Aussies though, they bowled very well.
Thought that they would bat with enough pride and skill to take it into a 5th day......how wrong can a person be? Lost every session after the first day when we were in a fiarly decent position after losing the toss and having to bowl in a batting paradise.......poor thereafter. 10 days or so to clear their heads before Adelaide...
Lots of bored Barmy Army walking round Brissie today....!! guess they'll be visiting the muesso's & Southbank for the day then or Pig & Whistle. Suppose the Gold Coast theme parks (Movie World, Wet & Wild, Dreamworld etc) may get some extra business !!
It's the fans that I feel for Queens. That was a really poor performance by England. As for the Aussies I'd like to say well played but they're worse winners than they are losers. Warner, Johnson and Clarke are complete Wonkas. I hope Broady sends a bouncer into their teeth.
Yeah funny that Nines, I spoke to plenty of Aussies after the first day and they all said that nobody really cares about cricket anymore...But today at work evry single person i have spoken to has asked if i watched the cricket this weekend !! Suprise suprise !!
