Nowhere near her birthday though. In all states except Western Aus it is in early June and in WA it is in September. We love public holidays and have at least 11/year.

Here in beautiful down-town Traralgon, Victoria, Australia we get a public holiday for a horse race would you believe! The Melbourne Cup.
Mind you, being retired, every day is a public holiday for me.
Lovely barbecue weather here just now and having a piece of Salmon tonight.

it wasn't a terrible film, but I hardly think it warrants a public holiday, I find Will Smith fairly annoying.

But to temper that, we don't get 5 weeks holiday like most in the UK. Swings and roundabouts really.

I thought religion was a banned topic on these forums?

Those this clown is allowed to pipe up with his blaspheming drivel, yet as soon as someone defends their beliefs their post will vanish in the blink of an eye.

    Double standards or what.

Well we moved around a lot. I would say that the place I grew up would be Round Hill, Virginia.

Casper though like lots of places in Wyoming looks nice but they are pretty poor areas. High unemployment, the only jobs are in mining, oil or ranching so young people leave quickly which is why the states population is still only a half million in a place that's like twice the size of the uk. I was born there but my parents were in college when I was born and they moved to Virginia when my dad graduated so I don't even remember living there. Wyoming is a beautiful state but it's not really a place anyone would ever move to.

We should Celebrate St.Georges Day and have a public holiday but I suspect it might upset too many "British" people.
