Just watched the last 5 minutes back. Bloody hell!! Not sure I've ever heard Sweet Chariot sung as loudly!
May(11) and Nowell(14) both did well today, I think the England squad is shaping up nicely and will go into the World Cup with a lot more self-belief now...
Yeah, I like those two a lot as well. Replace Twelvetrees and a few more matches' experience and this side is looking very good. Still Ireland's Championship to lose though, given their superior points difference. Depends which France turns up in Paris against them.
About 10 minutes from the end when strong Irish pressure broke down May had a Stuart Pearce moment with a roar from the heart you could hear above the crowd, THAT'S commitment and desire...
I heard that too. Immense. Tony should make our shower watch that match. Incredible commitment all over the pitch from both teams.
Great fun watching that in a packed rugby club bar, both teams can be proud of that commitment, Haven't even looked at the Charlton match thread yet and only know the result, not expecting it to be oretty though. I think Ireland will take France in Paris. England - Wales gigantic now.
Sounds like I missed a cracker of a game. I wished I left the Valley at half-time and found a boozer now. I forgot to record it too so doubt if I'll get to see any of it.
Bump Huge game again this weekend, with the ever improving England taking on the mighty Wales at Twickers. England showed last time out that they had both the muscle and determination to eventually see off a spirited Irish performance, but will this be a step too far for this young English team? This is too tight to call. Wales have been magnificent for the last three or four years and have won triple crowns, championships and grand slams. They have been inconsistent this year but Gatland is a shrewd operator and wales will be ready for battle on Sunday. This match at a neutral ground or in Cardiff would probably see Wales as favourites but home advantage to England makes it impossible for me to call a winner. I'm neutral for this one, knowing that one of these teams will effectively be out of the title race on Sunday evening. I hope it's a tight match, so Ireland's points difference advantage will remain intact going into the final round. Let the battle commence.
No, so am I. Ireland have a chance to fill their boots against Italy which could be decisive if it comes down to points difference. France should have too much for Scotland which leaves Sunday's cruncher at Twickers, that really is too close to call. If Wales turn up with their 'A' game they might just have too much experience of the big occasion for England, but the home crowd could be just enough to tip the balance. We owe the Welsh one for last season as well...
Don't forget it's also BOD's last International at Lansdowne Road, sorry The Aviva.......will be an almighty occassion. The game on Sunday is huge with 2 very evenly matched sides, could come down to 1 inspired moment or 1 slip up on either side.....
Crushing win for Ireland 46-7, with their points difference they are favourites, but a French win today will make next week's game a massive match...
