It's sad in this in this day and age that anybody needs to remark on anybodys skin colour unless they are under the age of five and don't know any better. Ignorance will never die out though unfortunately.

People can change their weight, their hair colour, and their nationality. Only Michael Jackson went for the full Monty!! Hope that isn't a racist remark.
A reporter asked what proof was required to become a member of the Black Police Officers Association. He went through the whole gamut of scenarios, from him being darker than Asian friends when he returned from holidays. The Police referred him on to the Campaign for Racial Equality, who were equally stuck by such a basic question. Cutting a long story short, the Police were so stumped, they have had to redefine themselves. It's also true in law that you are what ever colour and ethnic origin you choose to be, irrespective of most other information. So anyone can be black, white, grey, yellow etc. It's also not true that everyone can change weight or hair colour, but even if it were, so what? Should people be forced to change to avoid insults? That is no more just than people having to move for trhe same reasons.
But it is true that there are people who can. And for some people that is a choice; they may hate themselves afterwards, but at a specific time in their lives it can help. The point I was struggling to air was that skin colour is different, and that's why discrimination in that respect needs to be tackled first, as it leads to violence, hatred, misery and a divided nation. All symptoms of a breakdown in law and order in an otherwise civilised society.
There are also some that can change colour and some 'black' people that are white and vice versa. Discrimination is wrong, but one form shouldn't supercede another. You don't see too many eskimos or Chinese having issues with it.
I'm with DMD here. Racism is massively over-rated. No one cares about any other form of bullying, name-calling or discrimination, it's just a race obsession. The annoying thing is it's rarely ever a black person saying 'I've been racially abused.' It's always some third party telling you your racist every time you say the word 'black' or 'muslim'. As I said on the thread the other day, racial abuse, surely should be defined as abuse to someone because of their race. If no abuse takes place, then it isn't racial abuse! If you're older than 5 you really don't need to consider name-calling as abuse. Slavery was racial abuse, as was what Hitler wanted to do, but just mentioning someone's skin colour or religion is not abuse of any form. Equally though, if you are older than 5 someone's skin colour really shouldn't be something you'd want to use as an insult. Blatter is still a cock though.
Let me understand what you are saying here. 1) That Sepp Blatter is right and a hand shake will do if you call someone a "useless black monkey looking turd", and the crowd throw bananas at him all the way through the match and make monkey noises and gestures. (I have seen this happen by the way and it made me feel ashamed of being in that crowd). 2) And just as bad is calling his mate a "ginger in-bred twat".
That's not really what I was saying no, but if the ginger person was treat to the same level of abuse you have described (and in that first instance it would be abuse rather than just name-calling) then yes they are just as bad. But since you worded it as is the first scenario the same as the second, obviously not, because the 2nd is just petty name calling from one bloke to another and the 1st actual proper abuse where the whole crowd are on someone's back just for the colour of their skin. If the situations were the same but the 1st one as ginger and the 2nd one was black, there shouldn't be any difference.
Ok, and I just noticed this Andy O'Brien thing going on at TWS. It seems he has been getting a lot of abuse from the Leeds fans, and just couldn't take it any more. Is this a stand against something like this? It will be interesting to see which way the PFA will jump.
