What it will do is end the debate on whether Rangers and Celtic can get into English Leagues, and will probably be the death-nail of Scottish football
Scottish footballers are already subject to the same regulations as those from Wales, Northern Ireland, and any other EU nation - FIFA class them as separate because there isn't a UK team, but separate home nations. It's probably not necessary to get a work permit, but certainly international clearance is needed.
I see Celtic have got a reprieve in the Champions League again after being soundly thrashed twice by the Poles, add that to their reprieve a couple of years ago and most Rangers fans must feel like slitting their throats!...
