RIP Robin. As a child I really enjoyed Mork and Mindy. Two of my fave films also being Good Morning Vietnam and Good Will Hunting. As for suicide I have to agree it sucks but then I have been lucky in life and have never had to deal with severe depression on a day to day basis.
It's dead celebrities V ordinary dead for me and I apologise to anyone who knew a dead person today and has been offended by any of my remarks on this thread. Slating to me is the same dead or alive Seems it takes someone to die to spark off any reaction or opinion in the current culture
Very good post Queens, thank you. I will have to revisit my three favourite Robin Willims movies this week, my way to pay tribute to his excellent work. 1. The Bird Cage 2. Good Will Hunting 3. Good Morning Vietnam
Very, very sad. I can't imagine being so low that you would take your own life. Brilliant actor and will be sorely missed. My favourite has always been Dead Poets society. RIP Robin
Didn't figure this required a new thread on an English Site where most fellas wouldn't be that bothered but Lord Bannside (Ian Paisley) has just died aged 88.
I think you'll find quite a few will be bothered. My abiding memory of him is of a screaming, hate filled bully shouting at crowds in the 1970's. I have no experience of the levels of fear and ignorance that can have driven him to that, but to be fair he obviously calmed down enough to co-operate with Sinn Fein eventually, so an ambivalent RIP.
If you put it with a month old thread on Robin Williams then no, but as a dedicated thread it might have proved interesting - it's an awful long time since we've had any breakdowns here. I'm sure he would have loved to have been at the Orange marches tonight. Have Rangers cancelled their weekend game yet? As for Paisley - What amazed me was how strong his heart must have been to have carried that body, hatred and extreme high blood pressure for so many years.
Robin Williams was a genius. Ian Paisley was a nutcase. May whatever God you believe in (I dont) rest all of your souls.....
Joan Rivers died last week too but she left on a sour note
