    Great bloke met him on odd ocasions, will be very sadly missed RIP Norman. True Hull legend.

    Think I told this story on here before. I was in casino playing roulette wen Norman came up and ordered a load of chips. Pretended he couldn't reach across the table so asked the croupier to put em on number th th th th th put em on number th th th th th th put em on number th th th th th **** it put em on zero.

    Superb stuff. We wont ever see a generation of comedians like that lot ever again. Even Roy Chubby Brown kept his bit clean. Lol.

    My husband comments. " Met him in the early 60's when he was on the Hull club circuit. My uncle ran the Embassy club at the time and he was a very popular act.Also my dad was a pianist on the club circuit in the 50's and 60's and they often met up at gigs. A very friendly and funny man and extremely popular with the club patrons."

    RIP Norman.
