Love everything he's done, legend. Think the self praising stuff is done tongue in cheek as it's so often
I wouldnt know about twitter mate. Ive only seen him in the series things hes done BUt i agree he can over as a cock a bit at times
Ricky gervais is overrated. The funniest comedian is mr bean ha ha. That guy is the funniest person in the world. He once pretended brances of tree were twiglets at a dinner party lol.
I do. I'm not far behind Dave (in termsof age, as opposed to physical positioning, if you understand what I mean - er, I'm nearly as old, but I'm not suggesting any intimate proximity vis-Ã -vis genitalia or suchlike). Look,we're in the same insurance group, but we're not bum chums or anything... Hope that clears that up.
I think he's stuck in a permanent adolescent state of mind. You know the one where you've just discovered that no one can force you to go to church and that not eating animals is very "punk" and ethical and all that? He's discovered that its easy to make fun of religion and put down those who practice it. By no means could I call myself religious but its annoying to see his "jokes" all the time as if they were clever. http://images.huffingtonpost.com/2011-07-25-ricky1.jpg I mean seriously? That is the most pretentious, preachy picture I have ever seen in my life. Its not funny nor is it a particularly good social commentary. Its saying being a rich white atheist in the 21st century is like being oppressed. His entire career is filled with preachy crap like that and for that reason I cant stand him.
Well he hasn't burned anyone at the stake nor stoned them to death for being a heretic, so he's got a lot of catching up to do before your put religion and its followers in the victim category, eh?
i think the us office was a bit better. There are some annoying characters in both but i thought the us office wierdo was better but the regular guy was better in the uk... overall... RG designed the character for himself in the uk so i thought he was the best boss and i think exactly what he intended came off.. but who knew what he intended is waht he is mostly like anyway.
the real bigger question is can someone correlate those who hate gervais with those who hate brendan rodgers? after all the two are likened to each other due to that unfortunate documentary.
