It's a great sport for kids, taught me discipline & how to control anger. Unfortunately had to quit after being turned down for a sports council grant (no lotto money back then). Felt I'd drained my parents of enough money over the years, travelling Europe to compete so I got a proper job!

A few over the years- porsche 924, alfa romeo 33, maserati 222(wrote it off),Sapphire Cosworth (flooded it beyond repair - long story), xj6 (wrote it and 2 other competitors cars off) that sort of thing

Currently a BMW E30 320 estate and an E24 635CSI. I spend a considerable amount of time going involuntarily sideways

    Nice, a little envious. I've had a few Alfas over the years, a Sud, 2 x 33's, 2 GTV's(1 late 60's, 1 80's) and a 68 Duetto spider! Then I got married!
    I dream of owning Maserati.

Unfortunately not, that's a Giulietta spider. Think Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate aka the Boat tail spider . Now I drive what looks like a generic SUV child ferry!!

I had an ancient Sud when I lived in Itay, held together by rust. Tried to drive back to London one Christmas, had to abandon it in Paris, with a tear in my eye,

Edward Fox in Day of the Jackal is the coolest man in the history of humanity.

I owned a GT Junior (1976), pre-kids, also held together by rust. Absolutely beautiful car.

Excellent ................. I am a golfing tragic. I love both playing and watching the game. Each year when the Masters is on, only a cyclone can get me away from the lounge.
I used to play of 13 ............. have shot several rounds in single figures but nowadays, I'm no longer a member of a club, haven't played for 12 months and the chance of hitting a ball anytime soon, is remote.
Apart from that, life is good.

Summertime, Saturday morning juniors cricket & seniors cricket afternoon comp.
Also played football for 11 years. Coach used to play me left wing, right midfield, etc............... nowadays, I just play left right out!
