To be fair to the current government at least they are attempting to get things in place to minimize the effect of the new EU rubbish that will allow romanians and bulgarians free access to europe. Attempting to get laws in place that will mean no benefits for them thus less incentive to choose here as there destination. Under labour we would just be opening the doors.

Already making trade deals with China & Cameron is wanting kids to start dumping European languages in favour of learning Mandarin.

I agree. Europe has done nothing for us but bleed us dry.

A power trip between the Frogs and the Bosch.

Either remain as Britain or become independent like Norway.

There's a whole world out there waiting to be tapped. Business with Europe would continue anyway.

I don't consider myself to be any nationality at all. No time for petty, jingoistic chest thumping national.

Wouldn't be surprised if nothing does come of it, Tory's will say the Lib Dems prevented them from doing it & the Lib Dems will claim they are doing it because of everyone's rights as a human or some such 5hit. Probably not even a genuine effort to implement it because the more that is here the more chance they can get work done for next to nothing. Can't see where this will end tbh, once a people loose sense in pride they become easy pickings.

I want this country out of that dreadfully corrupt EU. Mind you, never believe Camerons promise of a referendum on it as you will be waiting a very long time.
All these treaty's are illegal but they still push them through. Holland votes against it & so does Ireland & France then the EU threatens them & they keep getting asked to vote again until they get the answer they are looking for.

Not a big fan of this EU myself Billy mate. Too much say in the everyday way people live their lives. **** only knows whats going on behind the scenes that the general public don't know about. Our days as a global power, whilst were still strong, are looking numbered. China is out there buying up gold reserves & diamonds like there going out of fashion. America looking increasingly in the 5hit. When you look at the way China has been mass producing & paying it's workers next to nowt, bordering on slavery if anything, it makes you wonder whats round the corner for us if we are to compete on a global scale. As a nation we've become very materialistic & blind as to world affairs as a whole, I get the feeling that a life of relative comfort for us as a nation may well draw to a close in the near future. Once upon a time the Greeks we're a glorious empire & look at the state they are in nowadays. People need to realize that nothing lasts for ever.

Thing is with the EU, why does no mean yes & yes means yes. So if Ireland had voted yes in the first vote would they have asked for a second ballot?
But then again, I'm a cynical old bastard.

EU making things difficult I imagine, emergency funding & the likes of. Never looked too much into the Ireland thing to be honest. Would imagine that the EU need as many on side as possible to consolidate power & not lose face. Can't see these people taking no for an answer in case of a domino like effect.

I have studied UKIP's policies, and they are absolutely ridiculous..Despite all independent scientific evidence proclaiming the correlation between the burning of carbon fuels and global warming, they are in denial of this and have stated they will stop all green policies..If that is not ignorance then nothing is..

I hope so too mate, but barring a miracle on the part of normal working class people I can't see such a thing happening. Europe was always at the forefront of revolution in centuries gone by when it came to challenging the blue blooded aristocracy elite types but can't see it happening nowadays. Look at the frogs, getting taxed to fuk. To me looks to be the systematic destruction of the middle class to put all of the power into corporate hands & nullify any chance of a challenge to the ruling power. Like I said earlier regarding mass immigration, I would think that the reason is two-fold, one being the good bit in which skills that we are short of get filled, the other being the inevitable tension it would cause amongst people to create a divide & conquer situation where as people would take their eye off the ball. The first part being the cover for the more sinister part in which people would be too busy infighting to take note of what else was being implemented by the cnuts who rule us.

I certainly don't agree with the way Europe is going, and I also think that they have far too much power and influence on nation state governance. What I would like Europe to be is a common market for independent nation states, which is what it started out as..

Yes, that's the thing though, they had a political agenda to form part of the new world order & to a certain extent they have succeded.
