OT- Margaret Thatcher Dead- RIP

Just for clarity, i'm not overly interested in politics and have only ever voted once - my view is unclouded by personal bias and I simply look at the facts.

She was the leader of this nation for well over a decade and was never voted out. She served her nation as best she could under difficult circumstances and transcended society by becoming the first (and probably last) female PM.

I think it's quite petty to discuss the state of her family finances - it should be irrelevent.

She served and has made history... give her a good send off I say.

 

Why? Why should she get a "good send off" when she divides opinion thus? The very idea of this exhibition is creating tensions. Why is it better that they make a public charade out of it, rather than letting the family have a quiet burial? Do you believe in life after death and people looking down enjoying their funeral? It's bullshit. The people that like her should pay their respects at a cemetery, the family should pay for the service themselves, because that's what everyone else in Britain does when a loved one dies. Just because 99.99999% of us don't get into politics doesn't mean she deserves any special recognition. She got payed enough for the job whilst she was decimating the working class surfs.

And so what she was a woman? She used and abused that fact to get into power, and to keep it.

 

It's clear you hold a deep hatred of everything Thatcher, so I won't waste anymore of your or my time debating it.

 

I'd give her a good send off. A couple of grenades ought to do the trick. That would give her disgusting hanger ons somewhat of a surprise. Hopefully Jeremy Clarkson would be caught in the blast.

 

There is a time and place for political discussion and there is a time and place for abuse. There is also a time and place for spending £10 million and allowing Margaret Thatcher to be buried in peace. That time was anytime before 1979

 

Funny how they always manage to find the police resources for capers like this while ordinary members of the public under threat are told "well we ain't got the resources luv."

You mean family like Mark Thatcher who was involved in loan sharking, racketeering and behind and attempted military coup in Equitorial Guinea. I think il place my sympathies somewhere else

 

Oh, don't forget his attempts at boosting the Balance of Payments with his somewhat unauthorised exports of armaments.

 

I made a promise in the 80s to have a party on the day that she goes six feet closer to Satan.

Don't respect the family or Thatcher but to celebrate her death is going too far.

 

What a load of ****e. The first 4 pints would be free for everyone as we all don't get taxed on the first bit. The second lot would be be for the same price as we all get taxed the same on that bit and so on. Only if the rich bastard was drinking more than the others could afford would he be charged more. If he chooses to buy the rest a pint, that's up to him. But chances are he already squirreled the money in a tax haven. ****er.

 

It will be a good send off. 21 gun salute. Every one of the shots will hit the ****ing coffin just to make sure the cow is dead.

 

I worked then. You are so full of ****e you could not have. The vast majority of working people do, have always done, work hard. A few government workers in some industries were used as an example to blind ****ing dickheads like you to reality. I worked abroad a lot as well because there were no jobs here. Now there were a bunch of idle gits. The Germans, the Dutch, Italians, French. We were told to slow down for ****s sake. Our Gov. company owners and upper management were to blame for any downfall of industry in our country. They would not part with money for modernisation. That's why we could not compete. Also our gov gave our work away. No chance that would happen in other European countries. If the Germans wanted a ship, Germans built it. etc.

 

I could not have put it more succinctly. Personally. I go into work with the express intention of doing as little as possible, but that is because I refuse to aid the capitalist garbage above me to gain even higher salary increases and bonuses.

Thatcher legitimised greed, pure and simple.

 

This time next week she will be 6 foot under and hopefully we will be three points better off cos that's all I care about right now.

 

That could be the answer! Sacrifice ex-prime ministers...

I am all for that.
