well i got i think how it works but i think theres some double meanings or something or double bluffs or bluffs and so forth. as in if you are saying dr s an investigator does it mean you think that or do you want him to get killed or are you mafia for example OR is luv trying to get dr killed as well... or is that too obvious.... hence i am probably going to fial at picking out the clues.
That's normal- even when you have people who have played before. Did one game "Enemy Unknown" variant of Mafia once where the people taking part had no clue what roles had been assigned out. Didn't even know what the evil's role was (conversion/assassination, etc). Only one person was given a list of all the roles. Talk about confusion and paranoia...
I was merely causing trouble for DR. I have no idea or the towny investor is Of course, knowing who the towny investigator was at this stage would be a good thing for the townies as we could protect them. There are six townies to just two mafia. The tricky bit is making sure the person claiming to be a towny investigator isn't mafia
Well don't worry none of it matters everyone will just flail around for a few days and then the mafia win I already gave a mathetical proof of the only logical move innocent people can make in round 1 but people are too ******ed to understand simple probabilities
Gez I knew about the detective as I re read the OP MILK - What does "any Mafia events will occur (conversion, assassination" mean? Can they kill someone when its their time? And they dont need to vote? Also conversion???
Night Cycle goes in order: 1) Execution by vote 2) Mafia events (either conversion or enroll new mafia member or kill someone) 3) Investigation - detectives sent roles. Only one of the Mafia gets to convert and kill... If you take him out they lose that ability. They have a very limited number of each and may or may not choose to use them each turn.
I know, I was taking the piss Good questions I think assassinations means they can choose to kill someone rather than ask a question (like the towny investigator). TBF, why would mafia need to ask a question when they know who each other are?
There are two town detectives. They [the mafia] get limited number of kills. They might want to target who to take out [rather than take out random people]. The detectives are more dangerous so they would want to find out who they are.
So say the two mafia are called X and Y for sake of argument. X can kill but can't convert someone and Y can convert but not kill?
Per the first post: There will be one Mafia Don (can order nightly assassination or convert townsfolk) There will be one Mafia Investigator (can do one investigation a night to try and find the townsfolk detective) So, the Don is the one that can kill or convert. The Mafia Investigator can only communicate with him to give suggestions. Although the Mafia Investigator CAN investigate townsfolk to find the Detectives and pass that information to the Don. If a Detective were to discover the Don he could for example announce his findings and hope that the town believes him. Execution from Vote occurs first in the list of events at night. Before Mafia hit.
I've just annoyed myself. I read that before posting but somehow got muddled up Can't wait to be converted to mafia
Rules becoming a bit clearer now Im not always the fastest on the uptake And im off shortly. So before you all say he's disappeared like Biscans theory its because im out onn my bike! Thats what us civillians do to keep fit
So now we've all voted (obviously, posters could change their mind), we just have to wait around until what, Saturday? And at that point: - one of us will be dead by vote (towny or mafia) - one towny will be killed or converted by the mafia don - the mafia investigator will know whether one of the townies (that they choose) is the towny investigator or not - the towny investigator will know whether the person they choose is mafia or not
