OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

If Bod turns out to be mafia, AFC's decision in the first round ranks as high as DR's in the previous game in the stupidity ranks

 

If he's mafia I failed hard

 

In the last game we were about to vote off the Don on the second night until DR came along claiming (and he was) to be a investigator and swung the votes. I got lynched. The Don was voted off in the next round

also there was a question about the snitch.

Astro was more right.

There is a goon, the possibility of one additional mafia added some time during game. then there is the don, the investigator and the snitch.

The way i am playing this that you must imagine a middle of the night.

If the cop is sitting in his car on stakeout what will they see? thats really is that way of looking at it.

If you are a cop you'll see someone like the snitch hanging round acting suspicious, you'll see the mafia investigator watching someone. you won't see the goon doing something.

So also remember that until you KNOW don't assume. For example if a pm is sent from me and it says innocent... there are a lot of innocent. IF you see mafia... you might be seeing the goon (today) but TONIGHT the mafia might convert. so I might be telling you porkies, or you might see one of two mafia for real... you have to decide and you will have facts like the day report to tell you if there was a convert for example.

its not completely cut and dried that if you see mafia that means you've been snitched, nor is it cut and dried that for example you got the report of innocent but you actually did see the don... you don't know.

I invented the snitch kind of... so if its not quite right it can be modified or rebalanced with more town cops... we can see at the end.

 

Bod reading the thread and not posting role (or even commenting saying he didn't think it a good idea) bothers me too because... logically he has to be regular townie OR Mafia because Sky "investigated" him and he came back innocent.


Three possible scenarios:
1) Sky is Mafia... If Sky is Mafia we can't believe what he says- but it would make sense that he would say innocent. (and Bod would have called him out if he had a role, one suspects).
2) Sky is Innocent and Snitch applied... This would mean Bod is Mafia.
3) Sky is innocent and Snitch not applied... this would mean Bod is innocent townie.


So logically we know Bod is not a special town role (unless Sky is lying in which case Bod should call him out).





IBWT has been reading this thread for a while without making a comment too... although I imagine he has a lot of pages of reading to catch up on!



It bothers me so few people left and not a second declared Cop. I want to believe Sky is Mafia because it would all make sense... but if we clear everyone out without having three people claim to be cops I'd be forced to believe Sky... which means either Snitch protected Bod or he's innocent.

 

If Astro and AFC turn out to be Mafia after night one actions and they both got to survive- we all as a town collectively suck! We were given the Bod triangle on day one and went after Magic instead.

 

There's an underlying theme of mentioning myself and Bodanki at the moment... Smoke and mirrors...

 

In two of your three sky outcomes you have Bodanki turning up innocent. So why vote for him?

 

If I had to guess... Minxy is probably a cop because she was convinced I was Mafia yesterday but hasn't put blame on me since. I bet she investigated me last night.

If Bod Triangle theory is correct- this would lend credence to it. Bod and AFC both voting for the main candidate who is not Bod.

 

You seem to be working on numbers so surely a 67% chance of innocent gives him a better shot at being innocent than the rest of us.

 

Except that the votes for billy happened before Bodanki got votes to put them level. It's the second and third votes for bod that are suspicious.

 

Because I think scenario 1 is the most likely- and scenario 2 would be likely if Bodanki were the don.

Only if all three scenarios were equally likely... and they're not.

 

Is there any reason at all to suspect Bodanki though except for the night 1 votes (which I know for my own part to be innocent)?

If not, then my don suspects remain Minxy, danilo, Lucaaas (and possibly Billy)

 

I was waiting to see if lucaaas changed vote!

Now we have lucaaas, milk and billy on the main candidate for death, same as yesterday.

By voting for billy I had thought lucaaas not involved but that vote was what I expected if lucaaas was in with someone.

 

The whole "I don't want to be accused" isn't the same as "I'm trying to help the town"

Feeling pretty sure lucaaas is mafia.

 

That is the first time I've changed my vote in the whole game. Some of you had changed your votes more than once in a round..

 

You didn't need to change a vote before as magic was heading to the grave and innocent. You voted for him alongside the people your now voting with for Bodanki and changed supposedly to not be linked with a theory rather than any accusation of guilt or intent to help the town.
