Yes the "coinflip" is 4/15 but any decent mafia can easily make themselves 0/15 in the first round by pointing the finger at someone else, especially since they can communicate privately and work together

What exactly do you mean by "investigate Minxy"? Leave me alone. I've done nothing to you.

 

You missed the point about mafia being at risk. What Astro proposes isn't a way of making sure mafia are eliminated, it is simply putting them at risk. The consequences of them losing the don to us townies losing someone are much greater and therefore the mafia are more likely to act to save themselves. Basically, its a tactic designed to catch someone out. If it doesn't work in the first round, you repeat it until something crops up. Of course, as its down to chance a townie could get selected at random each time deeming the tactic useless but that depends on the mafia having the gonads to sit it out and hope.

I think Gerrez has a role. I did a count. There are 4 bad roles 3 good roles. Last night I didn't count and assumed it was 50:50 and so eliminating him could eliminate someone good as well as some one bad. In reality, he's more likely to be bad than good (4:3)... so I will switch.

To be fair- it's the exact same strategy everyone had in Mafia1 where no-one knew what was going on- town or mafia!

If it's someone that talks a lot and you've seen online- then not commenting could be construed as a sign of guilt!

That's a common strategy and one to look for.

General strategy. I think best strategy is to have about 3 people all "on the bubble" at threat to be eliminated and hope that at least one of them is Mafia. They're more likely to team up and worry about a coin toss when there is a 1 of 3 on the line.

One person running away with the votes never tells you anything. Neither does it when votes are spread. It's best to get people sweating if they are under the microscope. That's when they mess up.

Thing is, even if I (or anyone else) did have a towny role, I couldn't tell you as the mafia know who each other are. It would make me target number one!

It is this time around And no, it wasn't a double bluff.

 

Last time Gerrez constantly spoke about how he wanted to be mafia or have a rol2, but hasn't said anything similar this game I don't believe. Not saying he is one, he could be a good role and we need to keep him but just seems different behaviour from game.

 

So 3/3 for AFC and Bodanki. I'd like to see one more on the hot seat.

FYI... I think Minxy said she was voting for "Hash" on her second post but she didn't bold her vote so I don't think you counted it. (remember to bold your votes everybody).

Ooooooh, some interesting comments since my last look. I'm fairly sure gerrez is something and so is billy, no idea what.... Not convinced either of them is mafia just yet...

Still think Bodanki is the clear choice for early odd behaviour but I'm sure he will be on to post something before eight and we can analyse his comments

 

Its early days yet, I still want a role and hopefully I'll be converted in due course

Last game, i was talking a lot more because (a) I wasn't as busy at work, and (b) I didn't have a clue what I was doing so I was asking questions about how the game works

 

I reckon if we throw one of RHC, gerrez or nozzle into the mix things could get interesting...

 

I knew some ****er would pick up on this, I was on my phone and commented on here before checking for a PM!
