OT: Mafia game thread starts Sunday 8pm 14/9/14

I think its too early to work anything out at this point. I've got some hunches like everyone else but I'm not certain about anything at this point.

I think you & Astro look suspicious with your late votes. Magic's inactivity combined with the don not converting/killing anyone makes it seem as if he could be the don & the players who were saved by the late vote change also look suspicious purely because they got saved at such a late stage.

 

Just in case people missed it, I didn't change to save myself in the second night of the last game. I'm part of the town team and if I believe the person I am voting for is right, I will not change my vote to save myself!

I was one of the few that actually went with the one vote per person, your system! You then screwed me so what makes you think I'm going to believe what you say? ATM, its going around in circles. We all know the tactic is about getting a reaction from the mafia, thirty seconds before deadline gives no reaction time. Why wait so long?

Yeah and well before the deadline someone could have voted to break the deadlock and ruin the setup

Most people seem to think gerrez is a towns person and quite possibly has a role... So why would you want to throw him into the coin toss?

 

The role of snitch is simple. It is me being amusing with the title re gerrez.

Now that said the actual game play is obvious. They will pick someone they feel cops will go investigate, be they town or mafia. They do so by simply paying attention to speculation and then they nominate

So for instance you hit the don, well I have to say innocent if they block and if they were even the vigilante I say mafia

There is a mafia goon and there could have been another mafia converted so all you'd know as a cop is you hit one in 3.

So in short there's a confidence if you get a specific role back but a question mark if you don't

Perhaps next time change it but that's how I wrote the scenario

It's not about reactions it's about the maximum number of people being in the vote

The system is not just 1 vote per person, it is the maximum number of people facing the coinflip. 1 vote per person is the perfect version of the system since everyone faces the coinflip and the mafia advantage of knowledge is completely nullified. Otherwise the more people in the coinflip the better.

I have said a million times my votes don't reflect suspicion just the optimum mathematical strategy

 

The more people the better even if you think the other person has a role or is innocent?
