Its not butting in, this is a forum and subjects are open for discussion. If a person feels they dont agree or dont like any comment made they have the right to voice their opinions. surely tht is the whole point of a forum or have i got the wrong end of the stick again.
More fool you for coming out with a despicable comment like that. It really was a disgraceful comment to make I'm afraid. You make a comment like that, and others will voice their objections to such posts.
i was the first to side with you, in fact i was defending the police before you decided to comment...
Sorry Dai, I did notice, but the thread got to long. But thanks and i Have looked back and agree with you totally.
Sorry if it hurts Monte, but I'll stick up for our unarmed police who are the envy of the world. Local coppers deal with all kinds of incidents from lost pets to murder and everything in between. They do it with the utmost professionalism without complaints and without the right to strike. Doctors on the other hand seem to have forgotten themselves, in my surgery it takes a month to wait for an appointment to see a particular GP. Most of the time they are not at the surgery and its staffed by locums. I've been told to wait a year to see a consu.tant on the NHS, but see him in a week when I stump up my £250 pounds. They forget that my taxes pay for their training and keep them in their luxurious lifestyles. There is a deliberate bar on the number of doctors trained in this country so they can maintain their 'elite' position and their huge wages. Everybody I know complains about the standard of their local surgery and don't even go into the filthy hospitals that our doctors preside over.
What a boring thread this turned into.. Police - cool Doctors - cool Police - not cool Doctors - not cool Police - cool Doctors - cool Police - not cool Doctors - cool Police - cool Doctors - not cool Groundhog day, with a twist of Lime . ...
Are you girls still crying about this? And there's no need to slag off the NHS. I don't work for them - never have. I deliberately let you think that because I never thought you'd be silly enough to abandon your principles and turn on the NHS over a petty tiff - how wrong was I. With some notable exceptions, trundles Left Boot being one, most of you all fell for it hook line and sinker. DaiSwan was the best, he's gone from applauding the NHS to slagging them off in the space of one argument - he nearly broke my fishing rod!!
Well then, if you think it is appropriate to belittle dead police officers and use it as a wumming post, then you are truly a twisted and sick individual.
It isn't about that though is it. This is all about getting back at me because I said I deserve better pay than white collar workers. Well sorry I do. There has been no wumming, everything I've said has been the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth......
Stick to your guns, Monty. Some people just like to gang up like hyenas on anyone who "steps out of line" - vilifying and demonising at the first smell of blood. Getting back to the inequitable distribution of wealth/wages in the UK - we are near the top of the unfairness league for this in Europe. I do a full working week on the Minimum wage - admittedly in an unskilled job - and take home less than 12k p.a. The company I work for is multi-national, employs about 65,000 people around the world, and makes multi million pound profits. (No, it's not McDonalds! - or any of the usual suspects). This is not a moan - I'm used to it: no car, mortgage, credit cards, foreign holidays etc. And before you mention it, no this is not my computer, it's a relative's. So yeah, stuff this government and all Tory governments. This has become an unfocused, messy post due to tiredness. Have to go to bed now: Got to be up at 5.30am to go and make sure I get my #6.19 p.h.
Thank you Fieryjack Social mobility is indeed **** in this country, second only to the good ol' USA I believe. Ironic really for two countries that pride themselves above all others on fairness.
If you don't like the wage fiery, do something about, otherwise you are just being paid what you deserve. Monte, said earlier you are a malicious troll. Stick by the statement about the NHS though, its disgusting, go visit Morriston see how many wards are closed through mrsa and other viruses. If I'm paying for private heath care I should be able to claim that amount back through my tax, why should I have to pay for that crap service.
So we have come to the conclusion that Police shouldn't earn more as they only lost 5 to gunshots int he last how many years (or 9 if a post above is correct) Sooooooo, how many in your profession have died in that same time period from guns. You say you deserve to be paid more. Tell us why you should be paid more.
