<laugh> Sitting working with the Velvet Underground and Nico album produced by Andy Warhol back in 67 playing. Some of the best white music to ever come out of the US for me. I'm Waiting for the Man, must have set Punk on it's way many years later. Top top music right Arry!

RIP Lou Reed - I grew up in that era and really enjoyed some of his music, even went through a Velvet Underground & Nico phase, always liked this song.......

The original recording, like the rest of the Transformer album, was produced by David Bowie, with guitarist Mick Ronson providing the arrangement.

This a nice version too, sung by line by line by a great selection of artists, including Lou Reed.

The original Lou Reed recording was my choice for the 'first dance' track at my wedding. RIP

One of those artists that was slightly before my time. I knew of his popular hits though, 'Perfect Day' was a wonderful piece.
Thank you for the music Lou. RIP.

Big influence on my musical taste as a youth. Didn't know that David Bowie produced the Transformer album until today.

All in all, he did well to get to 71!

    RIP
