Did you ever go to Sham shui po where there was a huge underground market in pirated software. That place was unreal
I was lucky enough to go back to Hong Kong last April. I took my two boys who are 16 and 13 and they absolutely loved it there. That was the first time I had been back in 16 years.
I had to fly out with a colleague to HK from the UK for work reasons at 18hrs notice, because of some major customer issues on petrol sites in HK. We were booked into the Langham Place Hotel in Mongkok. I had never been anywhere in Asia before but fortunately my colleague had been there before, and his best mate lived there, and would be able to show us around on 2 of the 5 nights we were there. I suppose because one minute I was at my desk in Uxbridge and next minute I was standing in the gents in a bar in downtown HK, half comatosed with jet lag, thinking to myself "FCUK! I am standing having a slash in a bar in HK 1/2 way around the world, how cool is that. I just found the place really buzzy, a complete change from anything I had experienced going abroad before and because there was no planning or expectation, I just really enjoyed the whole experience of HK.
Well 4String if you liked Mongkok did you ever get over to Wanchai or Lan Kwai Fong? Serious party places If you get back over try this place https://plus.google.com/111570434316710466610/about?gl=uk&hl=en Bahama Mama's is lethal. A combination of table football and 5 spirit cocktails makes for a rockin night!
How about having a slash in Felix bar on top of The Peninsular. Seriously must be the best ever view to have whilst peeing!
London Corte ... well anywhere on Corsica Montpellier Beziers Pezanas Périgueux Tours Lyon Toulouse Bordeaux Turin and Milan
Osaka? Tell me more Sheff - was just down the coast in Kobe until yesterday. Have only ever passed through, seems an enormous place, but better than Tokyo? if there's good stuff there I need to know, because its 15 minutes on the train from Kobe and I have exhausted most things of interest there...
Tramore, his name was Thomas Wellham from Keighley. If he's mentioned, I would love a copy of that book. I leave tomorrow so don't have time to pick up a copy. Could you pick me up a copy and I will sort you out next time I see you, thanks.
New York Venice Dubrovnik London Brighton As reserve I'd put Waterford/Tramore, although it's 35 years since I lived there briefly. Is that MetalMan still there Tramore?...
