Sorry to hear of your dilemma i went with Cooper/Wilkin/Chapman in Beverley. Mark Carlton excellent divorce solicitor.

He saved me a packet refusing to answer stupid letters from my ex solicitor at 75 quid a time. Along with giving some great advice in other areas.

Don't know if they are cheapest but got me a great final settlement. Plus she only went to a mediator at Gosschalks who chasing the little things missed loads he should have picked up on. If her firm had anything about them it would have cost me another 50k. In the end if you tot up what she got and divide it by the time we were together its about 8 quid a day. Couldn't get a housekeeper for that and apart from the odd shag that's all she ever was.
I work away from home by the way travelling the world on business so was never there. House was always clean and tidy when i got home, don't know how she managed it though, being on her back all the time i was away but who gives a ****, IM FREEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!

    Hope this helps.

He moved out and left her the house but she doesn't work & has the kids, if he didn't pay the mortgage it could be repossessed so keeps paying. He was advised that without blame the best option was to wait 2 years for a quickie divorce but wanted it over asap, the blame bit comes into it when fighting for custody as the judge may look at the guilty party as being responsible for breaking up the family & giving custody to the other partner

Interesting how people get conflicting advice. I've certainly never heard the 'blame' thing before. The timescales for divorce depend on the reason, with some such as adultery being shorter than others, but even then, I understood they still don't look at 'blame' as there are many reasons someone commits adultery.

Excuses yes but there is never a good reason !! If you want a bit on the side get the divorce first

Or become a polygamist with more than one wife, the ins and outs of which are a mystery. Having more than one wife, implies having more than one mother in law, which is a bigamistry.

If she was like my mother in law I'd happily have two as she is absolutely wonderful, I've called her Ma after me & the wife had only been going out 6 months
