If your buying something that's 'miles' better your still shopping at the high end of the smartphone market, in which case the argument about saving money is redundant because your still spending way more than you need to on a mobile phone. If money was really an issue you can buy a smart phone on PAYG for £70 and it does pretty much what the iPhone or any of its rivals do. Plus the same mindless product placement is apparent with all brands, not just Apple.
