We have similar problems with weather across the US as well.

Interesting, threatening photos - yes, here in Atlantic Canada we have up to 100 mm of rain on it's way, also the highest Bay of Fundy tides for many years, all tied in with Sunday's red lunar eclipse I believe.

More than 100 mm of rain raises East Coast flood risk

I thought this thread was going to be about an Aussie football team named Brisbane Storm, akin to:-

    F.C. Seattle Storm (WSA), 1984-1995

Best thing all you Aussies can do is move to new Zealand
We get at least 3 sunny days per. Year and we never get hail in Wellington cos its nearly always ****ing raining

Is it? I was always under the impression that NZ had a better climate than the UK.

Has it ****. I went there in January/February (i.e height of summer) and got snowed on. It is stunningly beautiful though and the climate's not bad Auckland way.

Ah right. That's probably what I was getting confused with. Is Wellington on the south Island? I know Auckland is quite North on the north Island and that would explain in part my misunderstanding.

We always let the Aussies think the weather's bad here because we can't afford to build any more prisons

Uk has given up on Australia and is now building jails in Jamaica. Should start shipping convicts in 2020.

That is amazing Aussie - not sure I'd be farting about on the beach as that rolls in! Half expect a few White Walkers to be in there!

For the record there's a very low-lying, slate grey cover of cloud over the Isle of Dogs today.
