I disagree my posts should show that I am firmly agnostic, I don't fimly believe or disbelieve. Which makes me agnostic, I think?

Time for your brain or heart to pick a side. "Firmly agnostic" is an oxymoron.

As far as I'm aware an agnostic is a person who claims that they can't have true knowledge about the existence of God but doesn't deny that God might exist. You're making up your own definition.

i am pretty much like that, still open minded about it, which is quite an achievement considering have had it rammed down my throat, but i make my own mind up, i am no sheep lol.

have quite a few books that i really need to get round to reading like bible code, jesus papers etc, i have actually cheated death once maybe twice, no idea how or why just know i did, well 2nd time was probably more luck than anything, but first one ****ed my head up.

I can't have true knowledge about the existence of God (unprovable that he does). I also don't deny that God might exist (unprovable that he doesn't).

Yet, my passion about the matter sways me either into faith (that such a power exists) or a lack of faith. Rationalisation can support either. In my case the latter.

If you tell me you're an 'agnostic', I'd conclude you're sitting on the fence or don't care about the subject enough to form a clear stance.

Fence-sitting is not ideal (it should only be an unstable transitional phase), whilst not caring about such matters, there's nothing wrong with that.

It's not I don't firmly believe or disbelive in any deity but have faith in something more, my heart and brain are in a happy place and I don't need to go picking a or b.

There's nothing wrong with sitting on fences and maybe some agnostics do, but it isn't a definitive part of agnosticism. Rather than not caring enough which you suggest, some struggle with it.

Struggle, fence-sitting, it's all good. It's not ideal as man yearns for direction, but if some are ok standing on the dead middle pricked by the question, that's certainly fine.

Luv shows signs of not being totally in the middle though - he's expressed that he does have faith in a supreme power. Unreligious personal faith, that is. Not agnostic imo.

I would completely disagree that being an agnostic makes you a fence sitter, think about it. An agnostic makes a choice and it is a firm choice he follows his heart and has faith that there is something more while chosing to ignore any organised religon. I'd like to think it a very brace choice.

It's ok not coming down on one side or the other, people can't be expected to have opinions about everything. If you didn't have a religious upbringing it isn't something large in your life. Questioning to understand is ok but we're not here to judge others, or label them.

Ok seeing as we seem to disagree on the term I looked it up.

    So yes that's me.

So this fits in with the faith part, I can have faith that there is something more than our existence on earth but I beleive that we cannot be certain either way if God exists or not.

I still think I am an agnostic.
