That was it, never hear much about him do you? The way it is I suppose didnt know that about the flag . Senna was class. Did you see the Senna tribute before todays Q where he got out of his car and ran over to help another crashed driver
The BBC one? Yes. Interesting to hear Senna say he didn't drive to be third. That was what killed him, he was in a very poor Williams car and trying to push it to the front, something had to give. It was a different time, the fact that the race went ahead after a driver died in an on-track incident is crazy to think about now. Ratzenberger is always going to be overshadowed because he died on a weekend when perhaps the greatest of all time also died in the same manner, he was also an ordinary driver. That doesn't mean that his death is of any less value but it is just the way it is.
Watching the race highlights now. McLaren are really really really terrible. Looking like a mid-table team, which they are I guess. I know that Hamilton won and the Mercedes is reigning supreme but Williams look very good, especially if they keep developing this season and take that learning into next, could be a front runner? Two other observations... how long is Maldonado going to keep his drive, he's a total liability (always has been mind) crashes in quail, crashes in the race; good on Ricciardo getting his first podium... well deserved. I do hope Hamilton gets the title this year but I want the racing to get more competitive next year, it's boring as when one car is unassailable.
Yeah, Rosberg coming back at him a little bit was tense for sure. Lewis has got the psychological edge over Nico though I think, plus he's that bit quicker when he needs to be in quali or in the race. Four in a row!
Yeah I agree. You can see in everything Hamilton does that he is trying to dominate him. It will be a case of Rosberg consistently picking up good points vs Hamilton getting lots of maximums but with the risk of him pushing too hard and getting no points on a weekend. Consistency vs outright pace.
Still a load of boxes with names and numbers in. The format of tables generally doesn't tend to change Edit: I'm now above the two fake Gerrez accounts
So it's the grandaddy of them all this weekend... the Monaco GP. Monaco baby! All eyes are on the Hamilton-Rosberg rivalry at Mercedes. Rosberg won the race last year (his home race being brought up on the riviera - Hamilton made a jibe at him about this earlier in the week) but that was Hamilton's first season in a new car which he now clearly has more of a grip on than his team mate, having outperformed him all season barring the mechanical problems that led to him dropping out in the opening race. That seems a long time ago. Q2 is getting underway and more than anywhere securing a good position on the grid at Monaco is a priority due to the limited overtaking opportunities in the race. Can another driver/team spring a surprise on Mercedes by getting themselves to pole or the front of the grid today and taking advantage of it in the race?
I know Monaco is meant to be the best of them all, but often find it a bit dull compared to the ret due to the lack of overtaking and the fact you normally finish in the same position you start (unless something goes terribly wrong).
Or unless you're Rosberg when you might not even start the race in the position you're meant to start. Plenty of excitement over this in lieu of overtaking. Rosberg officially under investigation for that off that prematurely ended Hamilton's final quick lap.
What time is wheel off or #whateveritscalled pumpkin? Need to go out and get a new shirt/shoes to look sharp tonight. Fancy watching this though.
