The fact that he's even comparing Carrick to Gerrard shows how moronic he is. He didn't get more caps because rather than fight for his chance he had a strop when far superior players (e.g. Gerrard) were correctly picked ahead of him.

I would hope that Fergie's comments would fire our players up to have a go at the league. But then I remembered that morally normal people aren't driven by hate. Only Fergie can do that.
I had to re-read the first ten or so paragraphs of that article to work out what he was trying to say, it was so incomprehensible. I didn't bother reading any further.
Such comments say more about the nature of the person making them than they do about those being written about.
