Border terriers are a nice dog. We've got a lab, and they're great, but may be bigger than you want.

 

Big massive super soaker cos unless you're some sort of ninja then you wont vget close enough to use a normal one.

 

Buy tiger, lion, puma or jaguar piss and fill the super soaker with that. The piss of a big cat should scare them off more than being sprayed.

Ive got a 6 month old Bulldog puppy. Great with kids, hilarious with some of the antics they get up to, small size in height (for me anyway, im use to boxers) but solid in width and dont look gay. Maybe a nice compromise for you and the misses?
