No offense but Jackie, if it ****s you off so much, why open it and why post in it?

It quite clearly says OT at the top of the page...If you don't like it, don't open it, and better yet, write something football based for us to discuss instead of dropping into every OT conversation with the same ****ing slaphead emoticon!

Aye there's definitive answer, but my own theory, going off that research, is that parents who don't hit their children (regardless of severity) have to take the time to convey to the child what they've done wrong, why its wrong, and why it shouldn't be done again.

IQ as far as I understand it, is as much about mental stimulation as it is natural intelligence, and especially stimulation during your youth (when your brain is at its most active and absorbs most information). If as a child your dealing with more complex right and wrong situations i.e. 'I shouldn't do that because I'll upset this person' as opposed to 'I shouldn't do that because I'll get smacked' perhaps the greater stimulation increases thought processes and leads to a higher IQ...

I'd just like to say I have no knowledge of psychology of any kind, its just my 2 pence!
