As others have said, I have been there too and a week's notice does seem rather short. I personally don't have much a lot of security just now and I definitely sympathize with the situation especially since it's not of your making and out of your control I hope something turns up, soon

My company has that exact vacancy based in melbourne. we've just taken on a guy from cambridge up here... When you said you were willing to travel anywhere.....how far exactly did you mean...?...honestly the vacancy is there.. Good luck
