Their failure was in continuing, rather than reversing, Thatcherism. Oh for a Labour leader that would stand on a platform of re-nationalisation of the utilities and railways companies.
Lol, this is why I personally don't give a fook about politics anymore and can't be arsed to vote. I used to spend a lot of time following politics and also a lot of time stressing about it all. In my opinion the problem with the main political party's is they all try and play safe and pander to the center of left or right. I never did support a political party like a footy club like some voters do, I used to vote on what was being offered on party pledges and manifestos come the run up to an election. In my lifetime it has not made any differences which party was in power, we still have these cycles of boom and bust, that's just capitalism and we will always have these cycles. Do politicians really run our country or do big businesses run the show?
