Absolutely Stan. This is the system he signed players for. A back three of Ned, Caulker & Clint may be worth tryong & persevering with.
I was thinking that for a back three, but their distribution skills are, to be diplomatic, limited. I think if Ferdinand is fit for anything, he's fit for the sweeping role in a back 3. Caulker, Ferdinand and Hill perhaps. Surely the players anti 3-5-2 stance will have softened by now they have proved to be just as s**t with 4 at the back?
Based on Chile's formation and taking it as given that he won't drop Rio this is what I'd like to see against Liverpool: -------------------Green-------------------- --------Caulker--Ferdinand--Hill----------- -------Isla--Henry--Barton--Traore-------- -------------------Taarabt------------------ --------------Austin-----Vargas------------ Henry and Joey would stiffen our defence and with the wing backs getting at Liverpool's less than iron defence would give us opportunities, Niko could sub Adel later in the game. I don't think Liverpool would be prepared for such an attacking and flexible formation...
I would really like to see that line-up go into action against Liverpool - could you please cc Harry?

Now Harold can you encourage some of that next Sunday and for the rest of the season.....see they both can play a bit.....
I've been pondering this for a couple of days as to how we can play 2 up front and incorporate Adel just behind them and then Sooper posts this line up and Bingo...... Just can't see Harold being this adventourous......
If he does I hope the fans turn on him with a vengeance. We obviously have decent players but go to sh*t when they arrive at QPR. As COL said, the reason is obvious.
http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014...itter-to-vargass-brace-for-chile-so-when-wil/ QPR players seem like a conundrum right now. At Loftus Road or anywhere else in the Premier League, they appear to lack effort, intensity and desire. But then they go off to play for their countries - and they end up scoring twice. Well, Eduardo Vargas has done so but he perhaps can't be blamed for his on-field performances for the Rs. Indeed, as Opta stats show, he has only played 178 minutes for the west London side so far this league season. Team Pos Apps Mins Eduardo Vargas QPR FW 3 178 So why doesn't boss Harry Redknapp play him more and perhaps start him alongside Charlie Austin - especially seeing as QPR are short of goals right now? That's exactly the question fans are asking after the 24-year-old scored twice for his country, with one goal being assisted by Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez and one by, surprise, surprise, QPR's very own Mauricio Isla. The above video shows one of Vargas's goals, with the Chilean showing his typical fox-in-the-box predatory instincts. If only he was allowed the opportunity to do the same for the Rs... The west London side find themselves bottom of the Premier League table after seven games and a serious improvement in performances will be needed over the next few games if Redknapp's men are to avoid plummeting into a position where it might be too late to reconcile the damage. Could starting Vargas be the answer? Goal alerts
