    What about it?
It was all included in the term "drug" as far as I was concerned. <ok>

Believe it or not, I didn't start until after university, which was probably a very good thing.

I agree! If legalized I can already see the Virgin Spliffs being sold adding to Bransons portfolio. Because you see, if legalized only those with big money will profit. Look at the prices of cigarettes - which means there will always room for a black market. And me personally, I laugh, giggle, get the munchies, enjoy sex, enjoy music sometimes to great extremes without mind altering substances. Forgive me for sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but that 1 percent at the top will reap mega benefits of it all if they can keep everyone else sedated. You see, under sedation it makes it easier to administer the 'blue' pill through slight of hand and yes, you'll wake up thinking that everything is honky-dorey.
Excuse me while I pop out to the fancy dress shop and get my lizardmen outfit - only a few left!

Oh I know there's plenty of documented evidence. I've just never witnessed it directly in relation to wacky <ok>

I know mate, money's just a bit of paper/metal and it would be their decision to use it to purchase a weapon or whatever. But yeah, it'd be preferable to go to a local cafe, enjoy a nice brew and peruse the wares of the day. Problem is in some areas they'd probably be the only shops around not long after it was decriminalised <laugh> Would remind you of that Bill Hick's routine about stoned drivers following Dominos trucks and bumping into each other harmlessly at 3mph.

The guy that ended up in the nuthouse had preexisting issues I would say that the weed exacerbated.. no? He must have smoked a fair bit too, that's abuse, you can drink booze just as frequently and tbh you'll be worse off physically and probably mentally too.
Heck, if you eat too much rabbit it will kill you <laugh>

It does make you lethargic but who smokes when they gotta do ****. I mean if you gotta do the shopping or submit a end of qtr report, would you consume a bottle of JD first, same goes for smoking a joint.

Alcohol is a poison not a drug. It's toxic ;)

I don't disagree. The only point I was making is that there is an argument for drug use (including alcohol, Sis) being the concern of government (with a small "g").
Whether or not The Government is handling it properly is something else. You can probably guess my opinion on that one.

Thing is, you drink too much booze, take too much coke, speed or heorine, the same thing happens, any mind altering substances you constantly expose yourself to will alter your mind.

In that case, I'm only poisoning myself. Luckily I don't steal money for it, beat up the missus and kids under the influence, or become any more obnoxious than I usually am. :)

The show itself was funny, I mean lets get Jon Snow to do a skunk vape for the first time in his life and shove him in for a brain scan straight after - if ever there were a set of circumstances for a 'bad one'.

I can't jump on board with the mental issues though as I simply think a lot of people smoke weed so surely coincidence, but one thing I am certain of is that the 'yeah but it's not addictive' stance is completely untrue. As demonstrated last night, skunk and hash are 2 very different things.

Long term use makes you permanently lethargic in my experience.

Try knocking it on the head for a few weeks and see the difference. <ok>

Every pot head I've ever known always uses the negative effects of alcohol to justify their own habit.

I don't mean literally, ethanol is a mind altering chemical. I just mean that when you are drunk you have consumed enough to make it toxic. Like with tea, drinking 20 cups a day is poisoning yourself.

AS for the Gov, lets face it, the only way the legislation would be effective is if THE GOVERNMENT prevented it getting into the country, and they have been abject failures and the truth is, it is the elites that run the drugs so they will never ever be prevented from getting in.

The irony of this system is worse when you consider that they send you to prison for possesion. Prison, a place full fo drugs, they can't even stop them getting in there, a place with high walls and guards.

Prohibition has little or nothing to do with helping people or society, it has everything to do with making money. It's the prohibition that makes a pound of opium worth what it is, and convert that into street value and well...

As the famous Yate's strapline told us,'moderation is true temperance' <laugh> Never saw much moderation going on in the various Liverpool emporiums <laugh>

Long term use certainly does not make one permanently lethargic. Tell that to every world touring band that smokes, every actor. Coppers smoke it, MPs, and so many people who are in Uni who come out with the scores they want.

    .

"Every pot head I've ever known always uses the negative effects of alcohol to justify their own habit"
What if they drank booze instead every day all day? Would they be worse off?
Right there is the problem, using people who smoke it all day as an example, those people are the minority mate, believe it

What consititutes a "pot head"? How much and how often do you have to smoke to be a "pot head"?
