In my opinion it's not politics or religion but economics we need to look at.

Seen somewhere, maybe earlier in this thread, not long ago there were 8 tax payers for each benefit recipient, now its down to 4.
How long ago was it when if you reached 65 to collect your pension, you had done well and then lived for 5 to 10 years more.
Nowadays lts not that unusual to live into 80s, even 90s. No bad thing, better working conditions and huge advances in medical care. But it all costs money. In every industry output per worker has increased. I hear all the time this line that due to our falling birth rate we need imigration, but what are these people going to do ? we already have millions not working, taking money out of the system and contributing nothing.

Us, there are not enough of US, that's the problem. There are too many of US who benefit from the Health, Education, Tax Credits and everything else.

Where do you start and when do you stop in the process of deciding what makes US? Will you paint a mark on the homes and businesses of those that do not meet the criteria. Will you say to the farmer who has too employ workers from abroad to use only those that are considered to be us, stop it, you are ruining the country, but I will not pay too much for a cabbage?

Hypocrisy at it's worse. People idolise sportsmen from abroad, but want people to send all foreign factory works home. What's the difference both just doing there job?

I'd say there's a hell of a difference and it's a stupid comparison to make, as sportsmen from abroad are driving up wages, factory workers are depressing wages.

The influx of foreign workers is also driving up rents and house prices at the lower end of the scale, both of which impact Britons at the lower end of the scale disproportionately.

Shareholders, economists, business owners love this, but workers and communities impacted understandably are less enamoured.

On the tv, it's always the positive economic side that is trumpeted with rarely a minute allowed for the 'losers'.

There are plenty of negative social aspects to it all too- again a taboo area for the liberal left who control most of the media.

Most of the Eastern Europeans who come here are very hard working and keen to get on, but their impact on the places in which they come to live and work is not always positive. Nor is it positive on the places they leave behind which see a drain of talent of skills to abroad.

Are you saying wages haven't been depressed as the cost of living rises above inflation?

Groups of foreign workers crammed into terraced houses off Bev Rd and Spring Bank in far greater numbers than the houses were designed for ?

Your attempts to derail the discussion into some sort of Godwin's Law battle don't do you any credit - there has to be more controls over who comes into the UK, for all sorts of reasons.

It's a massive leap to go from suggesting tighter immigration controls to bring them at least in line with other Countries, to suggesting genocide. Even Labour admit their lax immigration policy was a mistake.

The problem isn't immigrants, they haven't done anything wrong. If someone offered me an opportunity like the ones they get I'd snap their hand off. The problem lies with the politicians who take advantage of the immigrants by expecting them to work for cheap labour whilst the Britons struggle to find work. I don't blame immigrants at all for the current situation, I blame the politicians. A pogrom against politicians should occur.
