The Fed has got his mojo back :emoticon-0165-muscl

The Tsonga game was an indicator, what he's now doing to Murray is the answer I was hoping for.

Greatest athlete in the history of sport.

Could this be a massive change in momentum?
To come back from a 2-5 deficit in a tiebreak against Federer should be a massive boost to Murray's confidence. Interesting to see how Federer reacts to have to go a fourth and maybe fifth set after loosing two match balls in the third.

Only following the game via beeb website, but it sounds enthralling especially now as Murray has got himself back into the game....

Murray is knackered now, Federer has been working him from side to side. Can't remember Murray looking this tired in a fourth set before. His back operation and lack of match practice could be a reason.

0-40 in Murray's serve game now...

    Match point Rog, ACE!

Demonstration of power. This is Federer of five years ago.

A brilliant and well desrved win by Roger Federer. I am sure that he is very pleased as many had already assigned him to the knackers yard.

The semi against Rafa will be very interesting, but surely Rafa will be too strong for him?

What are the odds for an all Swiss final?

Stan the man just got through to the final! Well done <applause>
Not the greatest of games, only one time did they manage to break the others serve and that was Wawrinka in the first set. Three tie breaks later and Wawrinka was through, well deserved as he was the better player throughout.

In the final he will beat Nadal and lose against Federer, that would be my guess. Reckon it's Federer who looks unstopable again.

Reading from the beeb website it sounded like a slugfest seeing who could hit the ball the hardest and blast the opponent off court.....not alot of guile on show...

I would think that the winner of Fed/Nadal would be the overall winner as both of those can adapt their game better than Wawrinka whose game appears to be based on power...

    Berdych's game is, not Wawrinka'.

Wawrinka is known to have maybe the best one handed backhand on the tour. His forehand cross can be deadly too. Yes he's got an incredible hard serve, but it's much more to his game than power. You don't beat Djokovic with only power tennis.

But he has played on the tinyest of margins so far, especially against Djoko, and he'll need to do it again if he's to win the final. His problem in the past has been that final mental hurdle, signs today and in the quarter final suggest he's handling it much better.

Yeah the final should be great either way. An all Swiss final maybe? Think the history between Federer and Wawrinka is something like 13-1.

Norway, I am really looking forward to this Roger-Rafa semi and hope that it will be a classic in both the tennis, as well as the emotional sense.

I really like both players and logic dictates the Rafa should win as if it goes to 5 sets, then it must be Rafa's because of fitness. Can Roger win in 3 sets, very unlikely. But Roger is on such a high and is probably so relaxed that who knows what may happen.

Anyway, I will hope for a Roger win as I would love him to win one more Open and have a chance to claim an unexpected 18th Open title. Rafa will most probably win the French Open in May anyway, and I envisage that he will in future years break Rogers record of open wins and be the new all-time modern tennis champion. Thus, this match could be a historic meeting of two great champions, and possibly one of the last time the reigning king will triumph.

Whatever happens, I am sure that Federer and millions of tennis fans all over the world are having are great time. I am!

Rafa looking good today and Federer is really struggling with Rafa's serves.

But one thing about Federer is that he's willing to fight now, more than I can remember him ever doing before. And he's looking very fit. The fact that Federer came out on top in the long rallies against Murray in the quarter, something that would have been impossible the last couple of years, tell us he's in better shape.

Rafa Nadal was simply outstanding today, hats off to him. The mental aspect between the two was evident againg unfortunately for us Federer fans, Rafa is his nemesis.

Saw it early today have to admit. So the cynic in me put some money on Rafa to win it 3-0.

Looking forward to the final, and hope Stan the man keep up his fearless play. The record between the two are something like 11 or 12 to 0. Rafa a big favourite for sure.

I stand by that remark as it's my opinion mate. But respect that this subject divides opinions. Usain Bolt a close second for me.

Hats off to Rafa on this one. It was his best game of the tournament and he deserved the win. But it is great to see "Roger is back" and playing with the big boys again. I hope can this form up for a couple more seasons. As for this match, one can only speculate what might have been had Roger won the tie break in the first set.

The Rafa-Stan final will be interesting, but I think Rafa will be too strong. However, I eould love to watch a 5 set thriller!

    Stan the man CHAMPION!!

    Couldn't be more delighted :)

Strange final with Nadal's injury, but he wasn't in the first set when Wawrinka played him off the park. Well deserved <applause>

Credit to Nadal for going the distance when probably everybody else would have thrown in the towel.
