    Tash,
You said that there aren't many men in your position. Maybe some of the females in your position were required to adhere to some sort of uniformity and mentioned that there was a certain smartly dressed male in the same position that wasn't required to wear the crappy clothes they had to wear...
It might explain why your manager gave you grief.

I have always done this though. I've never ever raised and issue with my employees, never once complained, and sometimes it's lead to people walking all over me. I've taken a lot of ****, and maybe this time I've decided to raise an issue.

But I suppose today is a good life lesson to just do what I was doing before, shut the **** up and do the job, because your superiors don't give two ****s, even though they should.

Maybe it's because I have yet to learn that we live in a world full of ****s, but part of me wants to believe we have some people that actually do give a ****.

Well I share shifts with two other women, I've only met one of them, and she didn't give a ****. Everyone said I looked smart and they loved my suit.

Whatever, sometimes people get a kick out of spoiling things. Everything was clicking together nicely.

I don't see how she couldn't just have left it alone. I was getting good reports, and the most important thing was that I was getting my work done and proving to be efficient.

You've had enough time out of work to just accept every workplace is different. I can confirm that the world is not completely full of ****s. I've had good managers and bad. The thing all jobs have in common is that at some time or other your manager pisses you off. How you respond to it depends how severe the pissing off is, I just think if you can ride over the uniform issue and stick to what you've been doing you'll be better served.

Now I'm a manager myself I try to take the best from each. But guess what? A number of of my workforce think I'm a complete **** and very harsh. Just the way of the world unfortunately.

This is where the problem lies Tash - you were looking too god damn dapper...Are you sure your boss isn't related to Girlzilla and was simply making sure you weren't subjected to sexual misconduct in the work place? You're not a piece of meat, they should respect you for who you are! Stay strong!

A raise? In the public sector? What the **** is that?!?

Put some ****ing trousers on Tash, I find it very hard to believe your manager thinks you walking about in your pants is the image patients want to see.
