I like Mike White, he obviously cares for all of the sports clubs in the region and is happy to talk to everyone who tweets him. I don't watch WWE myself much anymore, but I can't understand why Gerrard feels the need to call people who watch it bellends? It doesn't pretend to be a sport, it's called Wrestling Entertainment FFS!
I used to go to my grand parents in Greatfield on a Saturday afternoon and we weren't allowed to speak while Big Daddy and Giant Haystack were on. Had to go out and play out in Flattie Dyke instead.
I find him to be a bit of a prat at times especially when he's going on about American Football, then again I don't think Blunderside are particularly well blessed with decent sports presenters in any case.
I think Mike White is a good journalist. People should recall his interview with Gerraghty recently in which he repeatedly stopped the nauseating twat from spouting non-specific lynchmob rhetoric during his interview about the Allams and "Picturegate". Something which I applauded him for at the time and something many on here would have thought a Blunderside journalist would not have done beforehand. However, he does seem to go overboard sometimes. Gerrard made a general comment and Mike responded as if it was aimed at him personally. I was surprised by his response. Mike also springs to the defence of Gollum Lloyd rather quickly, I think he may be his love-child!
For anyone who doesn't understand Tuckin's post... Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport Anyway, what a fun day we've all had. I just hope nobody slags off Blue Peter or I might go off the deep end.
Right, time to reveal your favourite wrestlers. Mine was The Undertaker. But I also liked the Ultimate Warrior, and Legion of Doom...and many others. I ****ing loved wrestling with a deep passion until about 10 years of age, and then diverted my interests to football. My mum hated it, I was often banned from watching my videos as it just resulted in me suplexing my brother on to the couch whilst battling for the belt (official WWF merchandise), and usually one of us getting a moderately serious injury. I had a little wrestling ring with all my figures, Royal Rumbles going on in there. The 90s were great to be a kid. I never had Sky but my auntie did and she used to tape the big events for me and my brother, the excitement when she came round with the tape was immense. I would physically shake. Some people never grew out of it at school, they were the kids that never got showers and had helpers. For me, the early 90s was the golden age (Rowdy Roddy Piper, Macho Man, Hulk, Doink the Clown, Crush, Earthquake & Typhoon, Rik Flair...Virgil). For a kid, it's ace. For an adult...not so cool. Oh, also, that man/woman Chyna who was in it now does porn. FACTOGRAM.
white is a total berrend. i had a spat with him on twitter about 12 months ago after opposing one of his football tweets. bit of to'ing and fro'ing then i commented that we clearly had differing opinions and fair do's but he was like a dog with a bone so i blocked him. he's an arrogant little know-it-all ****.
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. He was the big star when I watched it. late 90s/early 00s, stopped watching when it changed to WWE.
We had to sit there. Quietly. Same for Crossroads. Sound = back of me nans hand! Happy days, never did me any harm either! Oh the best wrestler, Big Daddy, no question Party.
