Not given that's where the buses leave interchange, think it would make it dangerous giving the impression it was pedestrianised.

I looked at the site last year. You are right. It would be an idea landmark hotel. I don't know if it has restrictions, but I certainly can see that it has the right feel for development. If there was real interest in a development partnership, I would like to be in the loop.

Just feel that there is nothing to encourage shoppers to leave once they have parked up.

Done on the back of a *** packet.

If its gonna be a marina I vote we get monument fishmongers back, used to be crowds looking in the winder at times. Used to love it seeing a shark in there.

If we can get the A63 to go over the River Hull(and even over a roundabout outside Smith & Nephew), I'm pretty sure we could manage to get it over the entrance to a marina.

Not putting the marina in Princess Dock was complete and utter madness, how many other places had the opportunity to have a marina in the city centre?

If you stand with your back to Edwin Davis' and look across Bond Street to Kingston House Tower - at 1st/2nd floor level is a recessed doorway. It seems that this was originally intended as the access point to a bridge, which would cross Bond St. to a new building on the Davis site.

Pie in the sky, as per Hull ****ty Council.....

great idea of course. But if hull city council have anything to do with then it will never get off the drawing board. Sad but true.
I remember a few years back when a family from West Yorkshire who put a lot of money into a little cruiser moored off Victoria pier.
Basically it was pleasure trips up and down the river in the summer months.
The council fought them tooth and nail to such an extent that the family eventually threw the towel in. Over 20 years have passed and nothing has happened on the pier, the café is hardly ever open and nothing sails from there.
Yet the Minerva, council owned which they expect £1,000 per week rent for has also closed. I wonder why?

I agree OLM - I was just raising the point that Castle Street should have been dealt with in that way.....originally.

The main problem is that Hull has no 'South Side' and thus there is no place for a southern by-pass/ring-road.

That's another **** up, who gave planning permission for that ****e next door to The Minerva?

It's great round that pier, but that building(along with the other newish **** next door to Cerruttis) has really messed up the look of the place.

I think this picture has appeared before but just in case no one remembers this is what was supposed to have been built on this site.

Agree about the feyenord friendly. Absolute must for a city like Hull. Why isn't it a regular fixture is beyond me.
Humbersides finest have far too much say on these matters. Much as I disliked M Fish he was spot on when he tried to do them for restriction of trade once when they made a friendly v bradfud city all ticket on 'police intellegence'.
Less then a bus load of away fans came that day and the match kicked off with about 4,000 in the ground................and 500 police.

Top of Louis street on spring bank, coming back from a club off it years ago, we found it highly amusing to write a G between the A and N with a marker.
    **** knows we found a marker !
