The non-corner we are agreed on. I've watched the replay of that goal several times and I'm blowed if you can call the piddling amount of pushing and shoving from either team during that corner as worthy of blowing up for a foul. My contention is, is that Mike Dean has not allowed Saints to profit from his error.

On the pure subject of disallowed goals from corners, we've had this a few times before. Last season, Maya Yoshida scored from a corner and was deemed to have pushed the goalkeeper when it was the goalkeeper who pushed him. And the pushing amounted to nothing, in any case. And in another game, Jason Puncheon scored a header from a corner, and occasionally I go back to see if anything has magically appeared in the video that convinces me that it was anything bar a goal, because nothing happened.

Think this is the case for all teams. Referees seem very reluctant to give penalties in general this season. I've seen so many stonewall penalties not given.
 
I don't think he hates England too much, he's posted a picture on twitter of his kids watching Peppa Pig.

For years that was the general opinion, and one which I also subscribed to. But I don't anymore. If given the choice between goalkeepers getting a little extra protection, and the likes of Nolan and Anichebe being able to get away with trying to just block the goalkeeper from coming off his line, not really concentrating on the corner itself, I'd take giving goalkeepers extra protection time.

I know the tactics from Nolan and co aren't exactly brand new now, but it's certainly something which has creeped into the game that I dislike.

We do this as well. Every team does and it is annoying how many corners are won and then 30 seconds of the game are wasted as the ball is eventually kicked and someone pushing, blocking ends up with a whistle. I think the ref's should give the free kick instantly before the ball is kicked rather than waste time. Stop defenders and attackers from all the pushing, shoving, blocking.
