I'm told that over 15,000 tickets have been sold for the Scarlets match & the expectation is that the gate will exceed 17,000

We are looking at a prop as cover for Dmitri - not much about!

Good to see old players there today like Gerald Davies (London Welsh / Cardiff) & Norman Rees (Neath) as well as Geoff Atherton & Roger Blyth.

Norman Fees there's a blast from the past Taff.
Talking about London Welsh it's sad to see them in their current financial predicament

Norman's a good friend of mine & it was good to see him being introduced/welcomed by Wayne Hall to the guests in the Gower Suite before the game - also mentioned were Gerald Davies, Peter Hain, Carwyn Jones and WRU CEO Martyn Phillips.

Norman sat on the bench for Wales 13 times and never got on - wonder how many caps he'd have if he were playing today.

Norman was finally awarded a "Welsh Cap" in 2014

London Welsh basically 'bet the Club' on trying to attain & maintain Premiership status.

A bit boring, not what I expected.

Our fitness won us the game, that and the Scarlets lack of dicipline. They were up for it though, especially in the first half when we looked like we'd over eaten on christmas day. We were lethargic, off the pace even diddinterested in the first half but the Scarlets were well contained in attack rarely threatening us at all.

Where we were diciplined in defence and easily controled anything the Scarlets did they reorted to using every tactic fair or foul to stop us and got what they deserved, lots of yellows.

The Scarlets weren't the only ones to kill the game as a spectacle, the ref, who was an utter dick at scrum time, did more than his share to kill off the game. He penalised almost every scrum all game preventing either side from mounting any conserted back attack or stopping the half backs developing a territory game based on the boot. What with this dick blowing up at every scrum and the Scarlets killing the ball on the floor there was no attack from us through the backs.

The Scarlets came to defend first and foul second and they succeeded on both counts but we still managed to win the game.

Happy with the result, not happy with the ref but at least it wasn't that gobby little boy the blues and dragons had to bow to boxing day, he was truly appauling. The same ref that gave Ulster the game when we should have beaten them at Ravenhill. If he's the future of refereeing then Rugby is about to die.
